Coach Eve
A distance runner since the age of 12, Eve has a passion for running as a life-long pursuit and fulfilling lifestyle. When she was an undergrad at Harvard University, the legendary spirit of running in Boston enticed Eve to train for her first marathon. She has run 14 marathons and countless half-marathons since. She is a 6-time Boston Marathon finisher, and she has now set marathon and 10K personal records in her 40s!
Inspired by the great coaches and role models she has had throughout the years, Eve turned her attention to coaching in 2006. She had the honor of coaching people who were raising funds to end HIV/AIDS. As a coach for the AIDS Marathon Training Program, she brought hundreds of participants from 3 miles to 26.2 miles in 6 months. She also developed and coached the Intermediate and Advanced training programs. 100% of her runners triumphantly crossed the finish line of their races.
From 2008-2011, Eve turned her attention to the half-marathon, coaching hundreds of runners competing in 11 races with Fleet Feet Sports San Francisco. She was the "Running Expert and Coach" for START Fitness in San Francisco and did coaching and personal training for Sausalito Fit. She coached the Lululemon Corte Madera Run Team.
In 2011, Eve founded Coach Eve: Personal Training for Joyful Running, and she presently trains clients for races ranging from 5K to marathon distance. She also works with many clients training for military and other professional fitness tests.
In 2018 and 2019, Eve joined the cross country coaching staff of Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco. The Lick-Wilmerding boys placed 2nd at the 2018 California State Championship Div-V, and the girls team won 1st place! In 2019 the Lick-Wilmerding girls did it again — repeating their 1st place finish as Div-V California State Champions!
